DSA Admission – Taekwondo
Pei Hwa Taekwondo seeks to provide opportunities to develop students’ talents and lifelong passion for the sport. Taekwondo programme seeks to instill values such as resilience, respect and discipline in every member. A balanced approach is adopted during physical training sessions, as members practice moves to build up strength and improve flexibility while at the same time perfecting every single set of moves, kicks and stance with precision.

Criteria
Applicants should have experience in practicing Taekwondo. (Formal Certification is useful, but not compulsory)
Applicants should preferably have:
- Relevant experiences in performing in school or external events OR
- Represented their primary school in National School Championship OR
- Other achievement(s)/ attainment(s) in Taekwondo
- Good physical abilities
Note:
- Applicants do not need to possess all of the above criteria to be considered.
- Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the applicant will be shortlisted/given an offer.
Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will undergo:
- An interview.
- A selection trial requiring shortlisted DSA applicants to:
- Perform Taekwondo movement/ stances/ sparring techniques as decided by Pei Hwa Secondary School
- Participate in a physical ability test.
Note: All Interviews and selection trials will take place face-to-face at Pei Hwa Secondary School.
