DSA Admission – Chinese and Modern Dance
The Pei Hwa Dance Society endeavours to provide opportunities to cultivate our students’ talents and lifelong passion for dance. Through the meaningful experiences planned, Dance Society also seeks to help students to build character, foster friendships and cultivate a sense of belonging to the school.

Criteria
- Applicants should have experience in dance.
- Applicants should preferably have achievements, certifications, or participation in any school or external performances and competitions related to dance.
Note:
- Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.
- Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the applicant will be shortlisted/given an offer.
Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will undergo:
- An interview with panel of teachers and instructor
- An individual audition requiring shortlisting DSA applicants to:
- perform a prepared individual dance (~2 min) of any genre.
- learn and perform dance techniques and taught choreography
Note:
- All Interviews and Auditions will take place face-to-face at Pei Hwa Secondary School.
- Shortlisted DSA applicants need to bring a thumbdrive containing the music for their prepared piece to be played on the laptop provided by Pei Hwa Secondary School.
- Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the DSA applicant will be given an offer.
