Innovation Talent Development Programme
To shape an innovative mindset in our students, the school’s innovative thrust aims to provide them with sufficient platforms for exposure, application and exhibition, leveraging on our very own Pei Hwa Innovation Cycle and supported by an innovative environment to grow our students.
In order to realise the School’s mission to develop innovative and compassionate citizens, it is imperative to cultivate an innovative mindset in our students. In Pei Hwa Secondary School, the approach of a tiered student development is adopted. This differentiated approach aims to provide suitable platforms for students with different readiness levels to be exposed to, apply and exhibit the 8 characteristics in the innovative mindset:
- School Wide Programme (Whole school body)
- Leadership Training Programme (Student Leaders)
- Talent Development Programme (Students with higher readiness)
Tiered student development for students with different levels of readiness
As part of the tiered student development in Pei Hwa Secondary School, the Innovation Talent Development Programme (TDP) aims to target and select around 20 Secondary Two and Three students who have indicated keen interest in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship.
TDP provides opportunities for students to gain exposure through discussion forums, speaker series, workshops and learning journeys.
TDP also provides students with opportunities to apply their innovative mindsets in external platforms/competitions that are nationally recognised.
