Pei Hwa Art Council (PHAC)
Pei Hwa Art Council is a visual arts CCA which aims to provide students with opportunities to grow creatively. Students are exposed to a mix of fine art and design skills such as drawing and painting, ceramics and digital art to give them a hands-on at trying out different media. They are also given opportunities to showcase their strengths and talents by participating in various competitions and Values-in-Action programmes to give back to the community.
Students are exposed to a range of art-making to let them have a feel of different media as part of their creative expression. While some of our members have some background in art, we also have new students join us to discover their hidden talents. Through regular practice and active participation, our members emerge skillful and confident under the care and guidance of the teachers.
The CCA will enable our students to:
- develop better observational and problem-solving skills
- have greater awareness of the arts in order to increase appreciation and participation in the CCA and beyond
- provide support to the school for school-wide events and in partnering with the community
