Pupils will be taught with necessary ICT skills and knowledge to recognize and manage their emotions, develop care and concern for others, make responsible decisions, establish positive relationships, as well as handle challenging situations effectively and this prepare them to take on challenges of their future.
Framework for 21st Century Competencies and Student Outcomes
Starting 2011, to help our students thrive in a fast-changing world, all pupils have to meet the MOE Baseline ICT Standards.
MOE has identified competencies that have become increasingly important in the 21st Century. These competencies, represented in the following framework, underpin the holistic education that our schools provide to better prepare our students for the future. With the use of technology, the students adopt various methodologies and approaches in their learning. For example, students carry out inquisitive learning skills and problem-solving skills through the use of educational technology.
Pei Hwa Secondary aligns all our academic and non-academic programs according to 21st century competencies, our school have carried out short ICT courses for the pupils to ensure that they meet these standards. Click here for more information: Baseline ICT Standards for Secondary Students
We aims to equip our students with necessary competencies and attitudes, so that they become self-directed, confident learner and at the same time, an active contributor and concerned citizen of Singapore. Together, these competencies will enable our young to capitalise on the rich opportunities of the new digital age, while keeping a strong Singapore heartbeat.
