Our students and teachers take to the stage on Friday mornings to share their thoughts and viewpoints on our student outcomes, school values and current affairs. These ‘slices’ of their lives are savoured by the Pei Hwa Family.

Here is Koh Shin Yee from 3E3. She shared her Slice of Life on racial harmony. She talked about the importance of experiencing and celebrating the different cultures in Singapore.
What was interesting was that she volunteered to share despite having stage fright. She stepped out of her comfort zone and faced her fears! Well done, Shin Yee!

Bi Ning Xi, 3E2 and Wong Hansen, 3N2 shared about ethnic foods during Slice of Life today. Ning Xi made our mouths water as she described her favourite Korean dishes, while Hansen tempted our tastebuds with local fusion food, such as chocolate banana prata and Chinese fish head curry! Slurp, slurp!

A very spirited sharing by Yam Yu Yang from 3E4, during our Slice of Life this morning. He shared about the interesting Indian arts, such as henna design, and why we should interact with people from different cultures. Thank you, Yu Yang for the reminder that racial harmony is important to all of us!

Thank you, Phillis Lee of 2T1 for sharing with the school about Ramadan. It was insightful to know the significance of fasting and the practices of our Muslim friends.

Dingtao, from 2N2, shared with the school his Slice of Life, talking about local cuisines and the recent crispy rendang controversy. He said, “You don’t need a silver fork to eat good food. It doesn’t matter if it is street food or celebrated restaurant food, but what matters is whether it tastes good.”

Say hi to Magesh Ganeshsan from 2E4. He shared his Slice of Life with the school on his findings about the mammoth caves in the US. Interesting info. Well done, Magesh!
