In delivering an education that stresses on inquiry-based and experiential learning, we aim to develop in them the essential critical thinking skills and competencies that will help them to do well in the 21st century.
Geospatial Challenge 2013
Our students comprising of Darren Tan, Terrence Tan, Teh Min Jun, Harry Tan, and Poh Cai Yi, participated in the Singapore Geospatial Challenge 2013 organized by SLA and performed exceedingly well during the Finals held on 2 August 2013.
During the preliminary rounds, our students were put against over a 100 schools as they applied their geographical and historical knowledge of Singapore in the civic district. Teamwork and strategy was needed to clock the highest amount of points in the given time, and our students managed to secure a place in the Finals.
Despite entering the Finals with a lower total score and an even greater challenge, our students displayed resilience and diligence as they raced against their stronger competitors to finally finish off in the Top 5. Besides taking back home with them their prizes and learning more about Singapore, the students went back home with an experience that was priceless.
